Decision Focus University offers the opportunity for our clients to access formal training on their Decision Focus workspace through a combination of instructor led training and practical learning.
There are four courses which may be selected in isolation, with smaller easily digestible sections or in a more complete way with entire Workspace Designer level courses. Furthermore you can take templated report designer course isolation.
The training incorporates a VAK (Visual, Auditory, and Kinaesthetic learning styles) approach using blooms taxonomy to level the sessions, with you getting hands on within your own system. You will have tasks to complete after each session based on the platform or a presentation, to ensure the knowledge is embedded, feedback on this will be given by an Implementation Consultant.

Fundamental Workspace Designer Training
The Fundamental Workspace Designer Training covers a lot of important foundational topics that will help participants get comfortable with the core components of Decision Focus. The courses are very hands-on, identifying key elements including forms, fields, and user/member access types.
Intermediate Workspace Designer Training
The Intermediate Workspace Designer Training focuses on mastering field logic and views. It covers when and why field logic rules should run, and how to design functional rules for specific requirements. Trainees will also explore triggers for field logic, the different admin menus and their purposes, and how to use variable views effectively. The course includes guidance on applying member-related views for tailored user experiences, and it teaches participants how to design record dashboards to manage and display data efficiently.
Full Workspace Designer Training
The Full Workspace Designer Training covers advanced techniques for automating and optimising workflows. Trainees will learn how to automatically update records, apply automation templates, and explore the use of bots to address specific requirements. The course also covers the API, teaching how it can be utilized for integration, and explains data snapshots—what they are and how they can be used. Trainees will apply their knowledge to troubleshoot and find solutions to real-world challenges within the workspace.
Advanced Super User Training
The Advanced Super User Training focuses on complex workspace functionality and customization. Trainees will learn how to use features like Create and Link or Surveys effectively, define global forms and fields, and understand the role of environmental settings in system configuration. The course also teaches how to create and optimize templates and views for a more efficient workspace experience.

Accreditation and Reaccreditation
Accreditation
Our courses are thoughtfully designed to provide structured, practical learning experiences, combining instructor-led sessions with hands-on exercises. After completing each course, you'll earn a Credly badge, showcasing your expertise and commitment to professional growth.
Reaccreditation
Recertification is required every 2 years to ensure that certified Decision Focus configuration users are up to date with the latest platform updates, features, and best practices. This process helps ensure that users maintain the highest quality of configuration skills and continue to leverage the platform effectively.
Decision Focus will send a recertification reminder 6 months before the certification expiry, allowing ample time for users to arrange their recertification and stay current with the evolving platform.
