Michael Hosking – Chief Operating Officer & Chief Risk Officer: Gen Re International P&C and Chief Risk Officer: Faraday Underwriting Limited

Michael is the Chief Operating Officer and chief Risk Officer for Gen Re International P&C and the Chief Risk Officer for Faraday Underwriting Limited. Michael’s team is responsible for all aspects of operations across the Gen Re International P&C and Faraday businesses as well as all aspects of Enterprise Risk Management. This includes the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.  Michael's team is also responsible for developing and maintaining a robust validation framework that independently reviews the effectiveness and appropriateness of the Internal Models.

Michael has worked in risk and capital management for over 15 years, is a certified Chartered Insurer with the ACII designation and holds a Masters in Finance from Durham University.
